Sunset cruise and meet
This evening tour and meet is planned to start from the Clarington area driving the back-roads along lake Ontario east circling back taking roads along a northerly return ending at a location near the start for a treat and meet. A stop to see the trout annual spring run up a river approximately 1/2 way in the cruise is planned.
Departing at 5:45 PM sharp from the Clarington area to view the trout’s annual return to their spawning grounds, we will enjoy some really fun roads along the lakeshore of Ontario with a stop at a Ganaraska River fish ladder hoping to view the fish jumping during the active spring run upstream. (portable washroom facilities have been available at this location in season’s past, if not we will plan an alternate bio-break location during the cruise)
Continuing looping back along a northerly route on a combination of leisurely and spirited back-roads, we will end near the starting point for ice cream and/or other treats where all are welcome to meet. Approximately 100 km the driving tour will end just after sunset, followed by some time to enjoy treats and meet socially, we expect to finish around 9-9:30 PM depending on how long we wish to admire each other’s car/meet at the end of the cruise.
CB radios are strongly encouraged as Michelle and Steven will point out some unique sights along the way, and while the route may be shared via the Scenic app approximately a week prior to the tour, the cruise is planned to be a predominantly listen/follow the leader tour as we enjoy the scenery.
REGISTER ONE TICKET PER CAR
The Trillium Miata/MX5 Club highly recommend register members on tours to have a GPS and CB Radio although it is not mandatory
