Special Guest Speaker: Jim Kenzie
Join us as we welcome a very special guest speaker, Jim Kenzie. Jim was the longtime senior editor and journalist with the Toronto Star Saturday Wheels Section. Now retired, Jim continues to be an automotive enthusiast and also an active MX-5 Miata owner (NB), who has many stories to share with us, including his trip down to Laguna Seca in California to celebrate the 25th Anniversary of the MX-5. Join us for a lively discussion with Jim!
Jim Kenzie is an automotive journalist who wrote for the Toronto Star ‘Wheels’ section for years and years. He eventually became its Chief Auto Reviewer. He was also a freelance contributor to several other automotive publications. Jim is without a doubt Canada’s most respected automotive journalist.
He was also a motorsports enthusiast who first coined the name Targa Newfoundland for the annual and unique 2000 km race. Targa Newfoundland was and still is the first and only tarmac rally of its kind to be held in North America! He’s as well known for crashing out of the race as he is for winning it!
He had an editorial segment called Kenzie’s Corner on TSN’s long running show MOTORING ’88 that changed names annually before finally becoming MOTORING TV
