Yup, that’s right. We were invited as Mazda’s guests to the Toronto International Auto Show, ahead of the crowds, and were treated to a very unexpected surprise! Big thanks go out to Heather and Mazda Canada for being so generous to us. I think Paul said it best in the subsequent e-screed:
I must pinch myself; I’m dreaming! That’s how I and forty-one other club members felt on Friday morning when we were invited to mount Mazda’s rotating stand and sit for just a few brief moments in the new ND, the 2016 MX-5 Miata.
Finished in the same red as the RHD car displayed in September, this was the first LHD car that we had seen. Initial impressions were very favourable to wildly enthusiastic. It even passed Gary’s elbow test. I consider it a design with great integrity and ergonomically sound, but that is just a first impression.
Even though we didn’t drive the car, everyone had irrepressible smiles as they sat in the car, that stayed after they got out. Mazda has done it again.
