Dave’s Garage owner, meeting host and TMC club sponsor Dave Biagioni welcomed the Trillium Miata Club to their May 5^th meeting. About 35 members and guests enjoyed the morning coffee and donuts, admired each others rides, and listened to Dave do a Question & Answer session on everything to do with modifying and maintaining MX5s. He mentioned that Step 1 is always to understand what specific outcome the owner is desiring – is it more power in everyday driving situations? Is it a firmer ride? etc. He discussed the pros and cons and costs associated of various modifications on each generation – NDs, NCs, BB and NAs, including improving engine breathability, up to and including engine replacements and turbocharging. He also spoke on his opinions regarding the improvements in the new 2024 ND3 and whether to consider upgrading. All in all, all the audience’s questions were answered by a mechanic thoroughly familiar with all things MX5. The club thanks Dave for the talk, and the tasty burgers that he made for us for lunch!
