WOW! This car has been ‘gently & professionally’ modified to be a much better MX5 than the standard car. Every mod (~$28,000 worth!) has been installed professionally by Kanata Mazda and works with perfection. This car is quick, and has NO engine lag, as it has no turbo and no Super charger, so NO power lag & unreliability. The dyno chart shows 221 HP, but in reality, it’s more like 205…
The exterior has been worked upon (although this is a 2006, the front is 2013) and it looks great. The interior is also upgraded (see below) and these seats really hold you in place, while the Android system works far better than Mazda’s original radio – and yes, it includes Nav by Android-Auto. The suspension upgrades are smooth, yet stop the standard Mazda propensity to sway & roll in corners. Even the rims have been imported from Mazda specially – they are Japan-domestic rims that have never, and will never, be exported to North America again.
No matter the year, this car drives FAR better than any ‘stock’ MX5 as a result of these professionally installed super-reliable modifications.
